N'we Jinan is a non-profit organization that travels to Indigenous communities and schools across North America providing educational services in the music and art sector. We offer creative solutions in the extra-curricular, in-school and post-secondary sectors.

The Northstars
Song/Performance/Video Package

“Project Guiding Light” is a one week package that gives participants the opportunity to write and record one original song under the guidance of professional Cree hip-hop group, The NorthStars. Furthermore, participants will engage in a video interview project that highlights the individual experience and explores the story behind the song. At the end of the week, participants will perform/share their song in a community event that will be hosted by The NorthStars. A maximum of 8 participants for the residency. This is a 5 day residency program.

Production Package

The one week residency will culminate into a community event; where the youth will put on a show production applying their learned skills. This residency includes a Surface Pro 4 workstation loaded with programs such as Serato Video, Apelton and other applications for creative design, which will be given to the school as a new digital resource. This is a 5 day residency program.

Mob Bounce

Mob Bounce have been actively doing youth work since 2011. Over the last three years both Travis and Craig have been developing and facilitating a workshop catered to, but not exclusive to Indigenous youth. “Hip-Hop and a Sacred Space” is an interactive workshop that provides youth the opportunity and experience to learn Mob Bounce’s approach to combining traditional and spiritual Indigenous Culture with contemporary methods of musical and artistic expression.
